3D Dies and Patterns
The 3D geometry will be defined from your drawing or directly by data transfer – if the data are available in VDA, IGES or DXF format.
The geometry of the parts will be transferred into a freeform surface model. Then – in an interactive manner – the resulting surfaces will be cut and rounded with constant or variable radius. In the next step the necessary draft surfaces will be calculated.
In the last step – only if necessary – the workpiece will be separated in the upper and the lower part and the correspondent workpiece geometry will be added. For complex workpieces the electrodes for cavity sinking by EDM and perhaps slides are calculated.
Now it's time to generate the NC program.
EUKLID will be used as the CAD/CAM system.
